Shalisa and Nate

On a warm August afternoon, Shalisa and Nate brought Denver style to downtown Salida. In Riverside Park, under the limbs of a century old cottonwood tree, the couple said their “I Do’s”.  Guests kept cool with the red heart-shaped fans found on their white wooden chairs. After an intimate ceremony, the wedding party returned to the SteamPlant Event Center for a posh D.Y.I. reception that mixed retro, elegant and downtown styles. We love the music themed reception and the rich use of colors in the Ballroom. Shalisa’s gorgeous Vera Wang wedding gown certainty steals the show.

Many thanks to Molly from Cedar House Photography for use of the photos below. If you like Shalisa and Nate’s style (and how could you not?), you might also enjoy this Mile High Bride blog of their wedding here and their engagement photos here.  The Flower Gallery is responsible for Shalisa’s unique bouquet and beautiful flower arrangements. The food was provided by Michelle Gap, of Kalamata Pit Catering. DJ Bedz & DJ Chonz spun the music. Shalisa’s Vera Wang dress was purchased at Anna Bé in Denver.

The doughnut cake looks adorable nestled under a “Love is Sweet” banner.
